We Can Do Better

Our recycling rate in Broward County is 38%, far short of the state’s 75% goal.

Through the Solid Waste Authority of Broward County, 28 cities and the County have come together to reduce waste going to landfills and waste-to-energy facilities. With the programs presented in the Solid Waste and Recycling Master Plan, we can divert approximately 62% of our waste from disposal.
