NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Section 286.011, Florida Statutes, the Governing Board (the “Board”) of the Solid Waste Disposal and Recyclable Materials Processing Authority of Broward County, Florida (the “SWA”), will conduct a Broward League of Cities – Elected Officials and City Staff Focused Meeting to review the Draft Solid Waste and Recycling Master Plan starting at 9 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, on June 11, 2025 at Broward Center for the Performing Arts (201 S.W 5th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312). One or more members of the Governing Board may be in attendance, as well as other elected officials. The purpose of this Broward League of Cities – Elected Officials and City Staff Focused Meeting to review the Draft Solid Waste and Recycling Master Plan is to provide information to the public about the SWA and engage the community in developing the SWA Master Plan for an innovative, environmentally sustainable, and economically efficient regional solid waste management system. Meeting minutes and meeting recordings will be published following the meeting.

The meeting will take place in the Mary N. Porter Riverview Ballroom.
Parking: Park in the Arts & Entertainment (A&E) District Garage located directly across the street from the Broward Center at 101 SW 5th Avenue, on the corner of SW 5th Avenue and SW 2nd Street. The Authority has pre-paid for 250 parking spots in the A&E Garage for meeting attendees. This is on a first come, first served basis. Once the 250 parking spots are accounted for, the parking charge will revert to the A&E Garage’s standard $15.00 event parking fee.
