NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Section 286.011, Florida Statutes, the Governing Board (the “Board”) of the Solid Waste Disposal and Recyclable Materials Processing Authority of Broward County, Florida (the “SWA”), will conduct a Public Outreach Meeting to review the Draft Solid Waste and Recycling Master Plan starting at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, on June 17, 2025 at FTL Downtown Event Center (416 N.E. 1st Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301). One or more members of the Governing Board may be in attendance, as well as other elected officials. The purpose of this Public Outreach Meeting to review the Draft Solid Waste and Recycling Master Plan is to provide information to the public about the SWA and engage the community in developing the SWA Master Plan for an innovative, environmentally sustainable, and economically efficient regional solid waste management system. At such meeting, persons will be given an opportunity to express their views. Meeting minutes and meeting recordings will be published following the meeting. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons with disabilities requiring accommodations to participate in this proceeding should contact Elisa Jones, at [email protected] no later than five (5) days prior to the hearing. Free parking is available at the Event Center for meeting attendees. When you arrive at the Event Center, go to one of two main parking lot entrances on the North side of NE 1st Street between North Federal Highway and NE 3rd Avenue. You do not need to do anything to validate your parking. Please plan to arrive by 6:15 p.m. as the meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.
