Transcription: Well, Broward County is the latest municipality to approve a master plan for how it handles everyone’s trash. The plan aims at significantly reducing waste and increasing recycling efforts to counter disappearing landfill space and increasing cost of moving that trash everywhere else. In order to put this plan in motion, the Solid Waste Authority needs 80% of the 28 municipalities that make up the agency to approve the plan before August. Fort Lauderdale has the issue on its agenda for their next meeting.
